We have extensive experience in the energy development industry, including multi-state and international high voltage transmission line crossings, wind farms, co-generation, biomass power plants, transportation corridors, and oil and gas facilities. We have sited over 1500 miles of high voltage transmission lines, and permitted over 200 projects. Our team is well-versed in NEPA compliance procedures for a variety of agencies including the Department of Energy (DOE), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), US Forest Service (USFS), US State Department (DOS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Corps of Engineers (COE), Rural Utility Service (RUS), US Department of Agriculture (USDA), US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).
Our services include Due Diligence through Compliance Monitoring/Construction, and we have formed relationships with numerous regulators and renewable and utility clients throughout the United States. We organize and participate in public and agency meetings related to environmental assessments with an emphasis on power and energy projects. Michelle is a senior policy and environmental professional with over 35 years of experience specializing in environmental and social impact assessment, managing cross sector teams that conduct environmental assessments and permitting for transmission lines, wind power, and other energy related projects. Michelle has successfully permitted 2 Presidential Permits (US to Canada and US to Mexico), working closely with the Department of Energy and other federal, state, and local agencies, along with over 24 Native American Tribes. She has sited over 1500 miles of high voltage transmission lines, and permitted over 200 projects in her career.
Michelle has been responsible for organizing and participating in public and agency meetings related to environmental assessments, with emphasis on power and energy projects. As an environmental consultant, Michelle has worked on projects throughout the United States, forming relationships with numerous regulators along with renewable and utility clients, partnering with consultants and supporting professional associations.
